Sales Tax and Duties Reduces from 6% to 3%
For All Irancell Subscribers
To comply with the new Value Added Tax Law and to meet one of Irancell’s main objectives of “increasing the customer satisfaction level”, by adopting new pricing policies,irancell will reduce the 6% sales tax and duties applied to its products to 3% from the 22 September 2008 as outlined in the table below.
The table clearly shows the new pricing as more beneficial for customers without the customer incurring any additional charges. Upon implementation of the mentioned changes, customers who purchase a IRR 50,000 recharge card will still pay the same amount as previously charged(i.e. 50,000 Rials) but will now receive more airtime (IRR 48,544 instead of IRR 47,170). A similar scenario occurs when the new tax rate is applied to postpaid bills where taxes will be reduced from 6% to 3%.
 NOTE:• After the reduction of the sales tax and duties rate on the 22 September 2008, the changes mentioned above will automatically be applied to MTN Irancell systems. Consequently, irrespective of the airtime breakdown shown on the recharge cards currently available in the market, the real airtime value as set in the Irancell systems will be increased according to the table above * The reduction of sales tax and duties from 6% to 3% shall be applied to aitrtime purchased via e-charge, logical airtime, or via an ATM. * The mentioned modifications shall be as per the VAT law and will under no circumstances result in any increase in the price of Irancell SIM cards or recharge cards. * For further information please refer to www.irancell.ir or contact Irancell Call Centre: Call 700 from an Irancell line or 09357000000 from any other lines.
