How it works Pay As You Go means that you are always in control of your mobile phone costs. You buy the amount of credit (airtime) you want and pay for it in cash – BEFORE you make calls. This way you’ll never be faced with bills after your calls. MTN Irancell Pay As You Go does not expire and you will not need to pay any additional charges for your incoming calls.
IMPORTANT: Please see all terms and conditions related to the use of your MTN Irancell service on our website. By use of this SIM Card you shall be deemed to have read and accepted the applicable terms and conditions of use of the SIM Card.
Getting Started
Step 1: Buy a Pay AS You Go Starter Pack, which contains a SIM Card, Registration Form and a user guide.
Step 2: Register your mobile number. MTN Irancell is required by law to register the details of all its users. In order to register you need to complete the registration form. This can be done in the following ways:
- At participating dealers.
- Online: visit our website
- Complete the registration form contained in the pack.
Step 3: Bring your proof of ID and a copy of them to a participating distributor. This can be done at the time of registration or after using online registration. You will need to present your SIM Card and original SIM Card holder at the dealer when doing the registration (it has the mobile number printed on it).
NOTE: We recommend going to a participating distributor as this will ensure a quicker and easier registration process. The registration will need to be accompanied by your Identification Document along with a copy . Please ensure that the documentation supplied corresponds with information noted on your registration form. The accompanying document can be supplied to the distributor after registering online.

Step 4: Make your calls! Your mobile number will be activated as soon as the registration is complete. Before you can make or receive your first call, you will need to dial *140*1# [YES/OK] to initialise your account. Once you have paid for your selected card in cash, use it to refill your call credit (airtime) whenever you want to make calls. The credit on your account does not have any expiry period and there is no monthly line rental. It couldn’t be easier! Your SIM Card has been programmed to start using the Pay As You Go Standard per second plan. The best part is that MTN Irancell Pay As You Go is not a temporary line, you do not need to pay any charges to keep your line active.
No Expiry on Recharge Cards Choose the recharge card that suits you best. MTN Irancell has made it easy to refill your credit. Just choose a card with the call credit (airtime) that suits you best. Everything you need will be on a recharge card which gives you Call Credit for Outgoing calls to the Real value stated on the card (less the sales tax and duties).

Everlasting SIM Card Your SIM Card will remain active and ready to receive calls and SMS’ after initial activation of the SIM, by dailing *140*1# [YES/OK]. You will simply be required to make or receive at least one call or send or receive at least one SMS every 90 days, for your SIM Card to remain active.

MTN Irancell Customer Services A help and advice line that gives you immediate access to the MTN Irancell Customer Service team. Just dial 700.
E-care You can also view and download your bill via E-care. To enjoy this service you only need to SMS the word E-care to 700.
Text messaging: Short Message Service (SMS) Also known as SMS (Short Message Service), this allows you to send and receive text messages to and from other mobile users. Send text messages of up to 160 characters in English or 70 characters in Farsi. To send the SMS ensure that the message centre number is correct. The message centre number is +989350001400.
Call diverting Divert your calls to any other number other than your mobile number. You can also choose to set one of these different modes of call forwarding: not reachable, busy, no reply unconditional.
Conference Calling Allows you to talk to up to five other people all at the same time. This is irrespective of where they are located, providing there is coverage in the area.
Caller Line Identity Presentation (CLIP) This allows you to identify who is calling you before you answer.
Call Barring This allows you to stop incoming or outgoing calls, at your convenience.
International Calling Call anyone, anywhere in the world, at your convenience from your mobile. Ensure you have sufficient credit available and the correct outgoing code.
Disconnection Rules Please note that you will need to have performed at least one of the following activities on your prepaid account with in a period of 90 consecutive/uninterrupted days:
- Make or receive a call, or
- Send or receive an SMS, or
- Rechrge your top_up.
If you have not done any of the above for a period of 90 consecutive/uninterrupted days, your mobile number will be disconnected. MTN Irancell services are subject to the standard terms and conditions, which can be accessed here or by calling Customer Care on 140 or 09377000000.
